This 2024, MAJORITY has consistently supported the Hispanic community as a proud sponsor of many events that took place across the United States. We celebrated their culture by dancing, tasting their traditional foods, participating in their traditions, and, of course, helping their people with financial services. Relive the best moments of this year!
Calle Ocho Festival
Let’s start with the Calle Ocho Festival! On Sunday, March 10th, the celebration came alive as thousands of people gathered for the largest Hispanic festival in the United States. That’s right, the largest! The Latin community was part of an unforgettable event.
Barranquilla Carnival
After the excitement of the Calle Ocho Festival, MAJORITY continued celebrating Latin traditions with the Barranquilla Carnival in Miami. On April 20th, Coral Gables came alive with Colombian music, color, and folklore, bringing the essence of Barranquilla to the Sunshine City.
Cuba Nostalgia
Next, we traveled from Barranquilla, Colombia, to Havana, Cuba, to celebrate 25 years of Cuba Nostalgia. MAJORITY joined South Florida’s most important Cuban cultural event as a sponsor three years ago. On May 18th and 19th, 2024, this festival celebrated its 25th anniversary with exhibitions, art, music, and recreations of iconic places like Floridita and Tropicana—a unique experience that honors generations of Cuban culture.
Independence of Colombia, Independence of Venezuela, and Soccer
In July and August, MAJORITY proudly celebrated the cultural richness of our communities in Miami. From Copa América fever uniting countries in the region to celebrating Venezuela’s Independence and Colombia’s Independence, the joy knew no bounds! Miami highlighted Colombian talents with the Colombians Foundation. A summer filled with traditions and unity was celebrated in style!
Hispanic Heritage Month
In September, MAJORITY proudly honored Latin cultural richness during Hispanic Heritage Month. From Mexico’s Independence Day shout to Nicaraguan Heritage Night and Honduran Independence Day festivities, each event highlighted our unity. Additionally, many members received the "Latino Power" T-shirt, a symbol of pride that brought our community together.
Singer Luis Enrique’s Participation
Other notable events included the baseball game between the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies, where most attendees received a limited-edition Nicaraguan Heritage T-shirt. Oh, and after the game, attendees enjoyed a concert by singer Luis Enrique!
Family Festival
On October 19th, Hispanos Unidos presented the Family Festival at Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park. This event brought together thousands of Hispanic families in a celebration filled with activities, community connection, and joy—a moment to enjoy and strengthen bonds!
Day of the Dead
On October 26th, the Mexican Consulate in Miami celebrated the tradition of “Día de Muertos” at Ponce Circle Park with mariachi music, regional dances, and catrina contests. It was a night to honor and celebrate Mexican culture. And of course, MAJORITY was there!
Unity During the Holidays
Additionally, MAJORITY organized events during Christmas and other holidays, fostering unity among the community and its workers. Members also enjoyed excellent offers on services, such as recharges to certain countries, with amazing promotions that allowed family members to recharge their phones at lower prices.
Looking Forward to 2025!
At MAJORITY, every celebration strengthens our commitment to the community and its traditions. In 2025, we will continue building bridges, honoring our cultures, and bringing our festivities to new horizons. The best is yet to come!
