FACTS WHAT DO MAJORITY USA, LLC AND MAJORITY PAYMENT SERVICES LLC DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Why?

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

What?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social security number and transaction history
  • Account balances and payment history
  • Account transactions and income

When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information; the reasons Majority chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

Who is providing this notice? Majority USA, LLC and Majority Payment Services LLC (collectively “Majority”)

What we do

How does Majority protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.
How does Majority collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • open an account 
  • give us your income information or provide account information
  • give us your contact information or show your government-issued ID

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more on your rights under state law.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Our affiliates include companies with a “Majority” name

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Majority does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Majority does not jointly market.

Other important information

California Residents: We will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliated companies, except that we may share your information as required or permitted by law. 

Nevada Residents: We are providing you this notice pursuant to state law. You may be placed on our internal do-not-call list by calling us at 1-855-553-3388 or emailing us at [email protected]. North Dakota Customers: We will not disclose information we collect about you with non-affiliated third parties, including for joint marketing purposes, unless you provide consent or as permitted by law.

Vermont Residents: We will not disclose information about your creditworthiness to our affiliates and will not disclose your personal information, financial information, credit report, or health information to nonaffiliated third parties to market to you, other than as permitted by Vermont law, unless you authorize us to make those disclosures. The MAJORITY Visa® Credit Card is issued by WebBank, member FDIC, pursuant to a license from VISA U.S.A. Inc. MAJORITY is not a bank or lender and is a technology company. Joining the waitlist does not constitute an application for credit and does not affect your eligibility or approval status. An application must be submitted to be considered for the card. Eligibility requirements apply, including but not limited to income and expense requirements, keeping your MAJORITY account in good standing, and establishing a security deposit account.


*Boost amount (i.e., the amount of the credit line increase) is up to 5% of the monthly on-time payment of at least the minimum payment due and is subject to other terms and conditions, including but not limited to an ability to repay check and a monthly cap in the credit card agreement.


**We report account information to one or more credit reporting agencies. Both positive and negative payment history impact your credit score. The impact of payment history on credit bureau scoring models will vary. Making on-time payments may help to build a credit profile for consumers without existing debt. Failure to make on-time payments will result in a negative history reported to credit reporting agencies and may negatively impact your credit score.
