If you sent money to someone with Zelle® and they never received it, there are a few things you can do:
-
Check the payment status. You can do this in the Zelle® app. If the payment status is pending, the recipient may not have enrolled their mobile number or email address to receive the payment. At this point, you have the option to cancel the payment.
-
Contact the recipient. Ask them to check their Zelle® account and make sure they are enrolled. If they are enrolled, ask them to check their bank account to make sure the money is not there.
-
Contact Zelle® customer support. If you have checked the payment status and contacted the recipient, and the money is still missing, you can contact Zelle® customer support (https://www.zellepay.com/support/contact-support).
Here are some additional tips:
-
If you are unsure of the recipient's email address or mobile number, you can try searching for them in the Zelle® app.
-
If you are sending money to someone for the first time, it is a good idea to send a small amount first to make sure it goes through correctly.
-
Be careful about sending money to people you do not know or trust. Zelle® payments are not reversible, so if you send money to someone and they do not give you what you paid for, you will not be able to get your money back.
