Zelle® will no longer be available in mobile banking applications.
What’s changing with Zelle®?
Beginning January 8, 2025, you will no longer be able to enroll in the Zelle® app. If you are already using Zelle®, you can continue sending and receiving money through the app until March 31, 2025. After this date, Zelle® will no longer be available for sending or receiving money via MAJORITY. This decision was made by Zelle and affects all similar mobile banking apps in the United States, not just Majority.
What does this mean for MAJORITY members?
-
If you already have Zelle®, you can continue to use it until March 31, 2025.
-
If you’re not currently enrolled, you won’t be able to sign up for Zelle® starting January 8, 2025.
-
After March 31, 2025, you’ll need to switch to other payment options.
What’s the best alternative to Zelle®?
The best alternative for sending money to other MAJORITY members is MAJORITY Pay.
What is MAJORITY Pay?
MAJORITY Pay is an instant, secure, and free alternative for MAJORITY members to pay each other. Payments are completed instantly and securely, and there are no fees to send or receive money. MAJORITY Pay is designed to make splitting expenses or sharing funds with friends and family effortless.
Can I still pay people who don’t have MAJORITY?
Not yet! But, we’re introducing a new feature in early 2025 that will allow you to pay anyone, even if they don’t have a MAJORITY account. This upcoming feature will provide more flexibility and convenience. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the launch!
Is MAJORITY compatible with other payment apps?
MAJORITY remains fully compatible with Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App, so you can continue using these services seamlessly with your MAJORITY account.
